This workshop addresses the perennial challenge of identity management -- verifying that a user attempting to log into your corporate system is who he claims to be. Authentication technologies and techniques can be combined in a number of ways to reduce fraud and achieve regulatory compliance as it relates to account access. This workshop summit will also cover the convergence of physical and digital authentication technologies: the use of two-factor authentication, smart cards, biometrics and so on. |

| Highlighted Speakers |
- Arcot Systems CTO, Jim Reno, one of the inventors of the 3-D Secure Protocol, used in the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs, will speak on the “State of Authentication”. In this introduction to the basics of online authentication, Jim will present an overview of the current state of authentication technologies. He will cover factors to consider when implementing an authentication technology such as how authentication relates to identity management and to federation and single-signon systems. He will explain how authentication can be provided as a cloud service, and how it relates to in-house systems.
- Naomi Shibata, representing MLSListings will discuss MLSListing’s experience using the Arcot AOK On-Demand Fraud Detection and Strong Authentication service to increase security of their nearly 19,000 subscribers. Naomi will share MLSListings’ approach to the problem, their implementation experience, and the roll-out to their real estate brokers and agents. She will also discuss additional measures taken to verify the identity of real estate brokers and agents accessing their services.
- Arcot will be demonstrating its new mobile authentication solutions in booth 13 on the exhibit floor.
